Welding
Strong, clean joints engineered for load and longevity.
Precision welding joins metal components into strong, durable structures using qualified processes and post-weld finishing.

Overview
Welding joins multiple stamped and bent parts into complex assemblies by fusion, producing joints with strength close to that of the base metal and meeting airtight / watertight requirements. Our factory offers TIG welding, laser welding, spot welding and other processes; combined with fixture positioning and distortion control, welding is the key step that turns individual parts into assemblies and finished products.
How the Process Works
Identify weld position, type and strength requirements, and select the welding method (TIG, laser, spot, etc., subject to the processes available)
Fixture the parts to fix their relative positions and tack-weld first to prevent movement during welding - fixture accuracy determines assembly consistency;
Set current, voltage and travel speed; trial-weld the first article to confirm penetration and appearance before batch production;
Weld in stages and symmetrically to control heat distortion - especially important on long seams;
Remove welding slag and spatter and grind the joint flush, preparing it for surface finishing;
Sampling inspection of weld appearance (no porosity, cracks or undercut) and joint strength; accepted parts proceed to surface finishing.
Key Advantages
- High joint strength - weld strength close to the base metal and able to carry structural loads
- Seamless joints - one-piece connection with no gap, combining clean appearance with sealing performance
- Airtight / watertight - continuous welds meet sealing requirements (fuel tanks, housings)
- No extra fasteners - compared with riveting or bolting, saves fasteners and drilling operations
- Automatable - robotic and laser welding lines deliver high volume efficiency and stable quality
- Goes beyond single-part stamping - multiple stamped and bent parts are combined into complex assemblies (brackets, housings, frames), expanding design freedom

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What materials can be welded?
A: Carbon steel and stainless steel are common weldable materials; aluminium and aluminium alloys require dedicated processes and equipment.
Q: Will the welded area rust?
A: The weld zone is a relatively weak point for corrosion; this is addressed by protective surface finishing (coatings).
Q: Can welded parts be made leak-tight?
A: Yes. Continuous welds achieve airtight / watertight performance, suitable for fuel tanks and housings.
Q: Is welding more expensive than riveting or bolting?
A: Welding eliminates fasteners and drilling, giving a cost advantage at high volumes; the specific price is subject to quotation.
Q: How are dimensional tolerances maintained after welding?
A: Fixture accuracy determines assembly consistency, the weld sequence controls distortion, and volume production starts only after the first article is confirmed.
