Materials Available for Production

Low-Carbon Steel (C ≤ 0.25%): the most widely used carbon steel for stamping

• Properties: good ductility, easy to stamp and bend, excellent weldability; relatively low strength and hardness, cannot be hardened by quenching, but work-hardens under cold forming.
• Q195 (low-carbon steel): soft with excellent ductility; used for stamped parts, wire, nails, washers and simple hardware stampings
• Q235 (formerly A3 steel, low-carbon): the most widely used plain carbon structural steel (equivalent to SS400 / ASTM A36); used for brackets, bases, sheet metal parts, bolts and nuts, and hardware frames — our highest-volume material

201 Stainless Steel

• Lowest cost, high strength and a good polished appearance; acceptable formability for indoor decorative hardware.
• Poor corrosion resistance — it rusts readily in humid, rainy or salty conditions; it is also more prone to cracking when bent and performs poorly in salt spray testing.
• Suitable for dry indoor applications only.

304 Stainless Steel ⭐ Our most widely used grade for hardware

• Balanced all-round performance: good ductility, easy to stamp and bend, excellent weldability; resistant to tap water, mild acids and everyday atmospheric corrosion; suitable for food-contact applications; the best cost-performance ratio.
• The standard choice for the vast majority of general stainless hardware. For most indoor and non-coastal outdoor applications, 304 is the preferred grade.

316 Stainless Steel

• Compared with 304, it delivers a substantial improvement in resistance to salt spray, seawater, acids and alkalis, with strong pitting resistance; suited to high-humidity, saline and chemical environments.
• Marine and seaside hardware, boat fittings, pool hardware, fasteners for chemical equipment, medical hardware, and parts for high-salinity or highly corrosive environments.

Aluminium and aluminium alloys

• Aluminium and aluminium alloys (e.g. 5052, 6061): lightweight brackets and structural parts, heat-sink housings and decorative parts — 5052 offers excellent stamping and bending formability, while 6061 provides higher strength and can be anodized

Copper and copper alloys

• Copper and copper alloys (brass H62/H65, pure copper, phosphor bronze): conductive terminals, grounding parts, spring contacts and decorative hardware — brass is easy to machine, pure copper offers the best conductivity, and phosphor bronze provides excellent spring properties
