Stainless steel is resistant to corrosion, pitting, rusting, and wear, exhibiting excellent corrosion resistance. A certain degree of tolerance (approximately 10%) in the thickness of stainless steel chassis products is permissible to accommodate different structural requirements.
Stainless steel chassis products have good weldability. However, care must be taken to avoid the presence of chloride ions in the operating environment to prevent intergranular corrosion.
